Information Leaflets of Common Conditions and Operations

We have produced a number of information leaflets for our patients. These are available from this web site in PDF format (Adobe Acrobat Files). We recommend you print them out to read them, as they are designed to be folded into multi-page booklets that make little sense when viewed online (due to the page order!)

With many thanks to Jane Moser, Senior Physiotherapist and extended role practitioner to the Oxford Shoulder & Elbow clinic for the production of these protocols.

Anatomy of the Elbow and Shoulder

We are in the process of creating a simple guide to the structure, or anatomy, of the elbow and shoulder. This is an area that will hopefully expand in the future.

Self-Diagnosis

The self-diagnosis algorithm has been moved the Medical Professionals Forum, as we feel it was more aimed towards General Practitioners. We hope to have a more suitable version available for the public soon.

Should you have any problems with your Shoulders or Elbows, please see your GP about it. If you wish, mention this web site and the shoulder problem diagnosis algorithm.

Referral to the Service

We are happy to accept NHS or private referrals from your general practitioner or clinician, who will know the process of referral.

General practitioners and Clinicians can make a private referral via an online referral process on this web site.
